MSU President and Vision 2013 featured in American Executive Magazine
Minot State University President David Fuller and the university’s Vision 2013 are highlighted in the October 2008 issue of American Executive magazine, a publication for business executives. The article, titled "Agent of Change," helps readers understand the rationale behind Vision 2013 and why Fuller is interested in the potential for this strategic process to invigorate the campus and community.
The three-page article quotes Fuller as saying "If we can engage our students in the beauty and challenges of the Great Plains, they’ll understand why we learn and will contribute to others." Amanda Gaines, the author, goes on to explain the importance of focusing on engagement and place-one of the seven key themes of Vision 2013. She also describes how Fuller feels this theme, along with the others, will provide the community with the best results possible when it comes to Minot State University.
"A key component to the success of these strategies ... is the willingness of the faculty, staff, and students to do their part to transform MSU into a place that not only produces university graduates but also agents of change," writes Gaines.
American Executive, a monthly publication from Red Coat Publishing, Inc., offers inspirational profiles of midsized businesses that are doing something right. A framed copy of the article will be displayed soon in the Administration Building, second floor.
