Send-off for men’s and women’s basketball teams on Saturday
Minot State University’s Beaver Boosters invite the community to a good luck send-off for the men’s and women’s basketball teams as they head to the national basketball tournaments.
Please join us Saturday, March 8, at 6 p.m. on the third floor of the MSU Dome. The meal will be pot luck so bring your favorite dish to share, along with a serving utensil.

Opponents announced
Speaking of the men’s and women’s teams, the pairings for each have been announced.
The women will play Shawnee State (Ohio) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Sioux City, Iowa. Shawnee State comes in as a No. 2 seed in the bracket, while MSU is a No. 7 seed. Shawnee State’s record is 27-2 and the Beavers is 19-10. Coach Sheila Green-Gerding identified Shawnee as No. 7 in the final NAIA Division II poll and said that puts MSU at No. 25.
The Beaver men take on No. 5 Northwestern (Iowa) Thursday at noon at Point Lookout, Mo. MSU would be ranked No. 28 in the tournament. Northwestern’s record is 27-4 and MSU’s is 19-11.
