Symphony opens season Saturday with Høstfest concert
The Minot Symphony
Orchestra will present its first
concert of the season Saturday
evening. The "Høstfest Concert"
honors two of the greatest
Scandinavian composers of all
time: Edvard Grieg and Jean
Sibelius. Knut Erik Jensen,
Norway’s most exciting rising new
star, will be the featured soloist in
the ever popular Piano Concerto
by Grieg. From the pen of Sibelius,
MSO will perform one of the
greatest symphonies of all time, the
sublime Symphony No. 7.
MSU faculty, staff and students
are admitted free with a current
ID. Additional tickets for adults are
$15 per concert or $50 for a season
ticket. The price for senior citizens
is $13 single, $45 season; students
12-18, $8 single, $24 season;
children, ages under 12, $4 single,
$12 season. All concerts are held in
Ann Nicole Nelson Hall, beginning
at 7:30 p.m.
