Kari Files, Instructor of Organ, received her BA from St. Olaf College; her BSE from Minot State University; and her MM from Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin. Under the tutorage of Dr. John Behnke and Dr. Mark Dimond, her masterís degree work was earned with an emphasis in Church Music, with an organ emphasis. Mrs. Files has soloed with the Minot Symphony Orchestra and performed with the Minot Chamber Chorale, the Minot State Concert Choir and the Minot State Concert Band. She is organist and handbell choir director at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot. Files plays oboe and English horn in the Minot Symphony Orchestra and has directed music for Minot State Universityís Summer Theater productions. She has taught for 20 years in ND and MT and is currently an instrumental music teacher for the Minot Public Schools as well as Instructor of Organ at Minot State.
