Kari Files, Instructor of Organ, received her BA in Music from St. Olaf College; her BSE from Minot State University; and her Master’s Degree in Church Music with an Organ Emphasis, from Concordia University Wisconsin, in Mequon.

Kari is a Deacon at Bethany Lutheran Church in Minot, serving as Music Minister, organist, pianist and handbell director. She is principal oboist for the Minot Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. Files teaching career spans over thirty-five years. She recently retired from teaching instrumental music for Minot Public Schools and was a former musical director for Minot State University’s Summer Theatre productions. Kari and her husband, Steve, have four grown children and three granddaughters.
