Tutor Information

My name is Hélène Sainquain, and I am a nineteen-year-old French student. My parents live in Le Mans, but I live and study at Rennes ( Brittany ).

My school’s name is "Science Po." There I study political science, history, economics, languages, and law. All the students in my school have to go abroad (for studies or internship) during their third year. Thanks to the exchange program called ISEP, I applied for a university in the United States, and they chose Minot State University for me. Here, my major is law, like in France.

At the end of this academic year, I will return to France, to get my degree (two years more in my school). After that, I will try to enter in another school, to become a magistrate three years after the entry examination, if I succeed in it.

During my ‘American’ year, I want to take advantage of all the opportunities that my new environment provides me, intellectually, humanly, culturally...

I want to discover North Dakota and other places in the United States too. For example, I will spend my Christmas holiday in New York City.

I hope that you enjoy learning French. I will do my best to prove that my language is as interesting as my culture. And I look forward to helping you discover both.
