There are many reasons why you should study French. Your knowledge of the language could help you do better in your job. Being bilingual will no doubt be an asset for you in a world where international communications are increasing rapidly. And remember, French is not only spoken in France, but in many countries of the world located in Africa, North America, the Caribbean, and Asia. Open new doors for yourself by studying French.

Learning another language and another culture (more than one if you can!) will make you a richer individual and a citizen of the world. It will broaden your horizons and will make you a more knowledgeable and better informed person.

Of course, learning French can be an end in itself. Perhaps you are simply interested in the language and French culture because you like them for different reasons. MSU will not disappoint you. It's French program will meet your expectations.

MSU offers a wide variety of courses in these areas and will train you well. Speak fluently in French, learn both about contemporary France and the France from yesterday, be able to read, speak, and write about such fascinating people as Voltaire, Balzac, Sartre, and others.

At MSU, you can combine your Major in French with another Major. Minor or simply do a concentration in French, and combine you French studies with the degree of your choice (business, communications, history, teaching, etc.) . Through the ISEP Program, if you major in French, MSU will send you to France for a year of study in a French University. You will be immersed in French life and will have a direct approach to the French way. This is exciting!
