Foreign Language Fair
MSU provides North Dakota high school students and teachers an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and share their enthusiasm for foreign language learning at our annual Foreign Language Fair.
Mission Statement
- To provide outreach designed to enhance the high school curriculum.
- To foster the appreciation of foreign language learning throughout the state.
- To commend student and teacher accomplishments.
- To strengthen recruiting outcomes.
- To provide practicum experiences for BSE majors.
At the fair, students and teachers participate in cultural activities designed for the separate language sessions, with guest speakers, student performances, and MSU faculty and club offerings. A culture bowl contest brings all three language groups together again, and at the closing ceremonies students receive their individual and school awards based on their submissions to a writing and poster contest. Ethnic refreshments are served at the intermission. You can read about upcoming Fairs in the FLAND newsletter
and at this website each fall. Future Fair invitations and registration forms will also be available on line.
We hope you will join us for an exciting afternoon of fun and commendation for all lovers of foreign language!
