International Student Exchange Program (ISEP)
The International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) is a worldwide network for international education, consisting of 275 member colleges and universities in the United States and 39 other countries. ISEP is a nonprofit organization which has been providing affordable study abroad and exchange options since 1979. Minot State University became an ISEP member in 1997, sending American students abroad and welcoming international students through the ISEP network ever since. Students can go abroad trough ISEP for summer term, fall or spring semester, or the whole academic year.
ISEP offers MSU students two options:
- ISEP-Exchanges, which allow students from member universities to exchange places for a semester or a year. With this option, MSU students pay MSU room, board, tuition and fees and receive those benefits at their host institutions.
- ISEP-Direct, which provides access to affordable fee-paid study abroad programs in 20 countries. This option is non-reciprocal, so fees are based on the actual cost of operating the program at that university. This option can be slightly more expensive than an ISEP-exchange, but availability is typically higher.
