These short term study abroad programs led by Minot State faculty are a great way for students to experience the world! You will travel with an enthusiastic Minot State instructor as they connect your learning objectives to the local host culture, customs, and history. Explore the world with fellow students you might already know and build new friendships with other Minot State students that share your interests.
Faculty-led programs offered at Minot State vary from year to year, and course credit for these programs differ depending on the nature of the experience and the faculty member's area of expertise. Programs are typically one to two weeks in length.

You can choose from a wide array of locations, program lengths and fields of study through MSU approved study abroad providers and partner institutions. The programs listed above have been identified specifically for the quality and credibility of their academic offerings, affordability, and the level of service provided to participants.
Other Programs
A non-affiliated study abroad program is one that is not sponsored by, affiliated with, or already approved by Minot State's Office of International Programs.
Minot State offers a wide variety of study abroad opportunities through affiliated providers and partner institutions, but you can also take advantage of numerous programs offered through national organizations, consortia or another university by submitting a proposal that clearly demonstrates the following:
1) The proposed program has high standards of academic quality, intercultural immersion, health and safety oversight.
2) You have a compelling academic need that is not met by an already approved study abroad program, but that will be met by the proposed program.
To start the review process, complete a Non-Affiliate Program Review Form and submit it it, along with the required attachments, to the Director of International Programs.
Proposals will be considered by the Director of International Programs, in consultation with the Minot State International Advisory Committee if necessary.
