Research in Genetic control of leaf expansion in Arabidopsis.
Primary Investigator: Dr. Christopher Keller
Research Summary:
Dr. Christopher Keller , Associate Professor of Biology, is conducting plant growth research to more closely understand the genetic control of development which is a poorly understood area of human biology. His research is aimed at identifying genes in Arabidopsis thaliana associated with the production and action of a non-auxin leaf growth effecter that modulates auxin control of leaf cell expansion and to identify other genes directly associated with auxin control of leaf expansion in Arabidopsis.
