Position Description: This position reports to the Minot State University Center for Extended Learning (CEL) Program Coordinator located at Minot Air Force Base and is responsible for a wide variety of administrative and office management duties. As an advisor, this person will assist the Coordinator by providing information to students about their degree program and assisting students with registration. This person will also help with organizing orientation activities, conducting briefings for new military personnel and their families upon arrival at MAFB, and helping with other open house events. Other duties include: test proctoring, answering the telephone, greeting visitors, and making appointments; working on organizing class schedules and room assignments; filing, ordering supplies, and maintaining the database for students at MAFB. This position requires extensive telephone usage, computer skills and personal contact with the public, base education personnel, and faculty.

Selection Criteria: Requires an associate's degree or 4 years of related experience. Must have experience with MS-Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Prefer someone with the ability to compose, design and lay out marketing materials such as newsletters, flyers, or ads. Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of people. This person must be self-motivated, possess a high level of organizational skills, and be able to work independently. Position requires some lifting of boxes and materials up to 50 lbs. in weight.

Position: Early Interventionist/Speech Language Pathologist

Position Description: This position is part of the NDCPD and is grant-funded. The primary purpose of this position is to provide early intervention services to families who have children with developmental delays, are at risk for delays or are medically at-risk infant and toddlers from birth through age two years via NDCPD’s Infant Development Programs. Responsibilities include:

  1. Provide speech language pathology and early intervention services to families of children enrolled in the program:
    • Conduct and compile evaluations and provide consultations to children
    • Schedule and participate in home visits based on the needs of the child and his/her family
    • Assist parents in carrying out activities needs identified in the child’s Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP)
    • Provide pertinent information to the families regarding child development and the needs of the individual child
    • Record data on child performance and update the implemented program
    • Coordinate home visitors questions and concerns
  2. Take part in Trans-disciplinary Infant Development Team
    • Attend scheduled staff meetings to discuss the needs of individual children
    • Provide information regarding cognitive, social and educational development of individual children
    • Receive information regarding motor, language and the medical needs of individual children
    • Involve other team members in periodic home visits to children to receive their professional input
  3. Complete individual family service plan (IFSP) and reviews for children on assigned caseload
    • Compile evaluation information into an evaluation report for distribution
    • Facilitate ISFP meeting and complete written IFSP document
    • Participation in transition activities
  4. Evaluate the overall developmental skills of infants and toddlers
    • Assess infants and toddlers who are referred to the Infant Development Program for evaluation
    • Participate in annual assessment on all children prior to the development of an annual ISFP
    • Complete reports containing results of given assessments
    • Administer a variety of assessments and select those which are appropriate to administer and provide recommendations
  5. Participate in Grant Development

Selection Criteria: Requires a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and/or Early Childhood. The position requires knowledge and experience working with children with disabilities and their families and two years of experience providing speech language pathology services. Must be able to operate standard office equipment including personal computers and standard office software, have excellent communication skills and a valid driver’s license and successfully satisfy a criminal background check.

Position Description: This position will be responsible for preparing and maintaining Minot State University Athletic Facilities for university related and public events. Duties include custodial services, general building maintenance, the setup and teardown of tables, chairs, athletic equipment, other associated equipment, and other assigned task. Duties also include the preparation and maintaining the athletic fields and the exteriors areas of the athletic facilities (building maintenance, mowing, shoveling snow, disposing of waste, etc.) Shifts are 6:00am – 2:30pm and 2:30pm – 11:00pm with adjustment in response to the schedule of the facilities events.

Selection Criteria: Requires the equivalent of successful completion of high school and one year of custodial/facility maintenance experience including tasks such as landscaping and grounds maintenance; or three years of custodial or facility maintenance experience. Must have the ability to perform semiskilled maintenance and repair work. Knowledge of the practice/procedures used in facility maintenance is required. Must be physically able to perform a variety of manual tasks and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with the general public.
