Position: Athletic Facilities Worker
Full-time, 12-month position
Non-Exempt

Salary: $27,893 plus benefits

Position Description: This position will be responsible for preparing and maintaining MSU athletic facilities for the university-related and public events. Duties include custodial services, general building maintenance, the setup and teardown of tables, chairs, athletic equipment and other associated equipment, and other related tasks as assigned. Duties also include the preparation and maintenance of the athletic fields and exterior areas of the athletic facilities (building maintenance, mowing, shoveling snow, waste disposal, etc.) Shifts are variable in response to the schedule of athletic events.

Selection Criteria: Requires the equivalent of successful completion of high school and one year of custodial/facility maintenance experience including tasks such as landscaping and grounds maintenance; or three years of custodial or facility maintenance experience. Must have the ability to perform semiskilled maintenance and repair work. Knowledge of the practices/procedures used in facility maintenance is required. Must be physically able to perform a variety of manual tasks and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with the general public.
