Position Description: This position reports to the Assistant VP for Enrollment Services and is responsible for the following administrative duties: planning, scheduling, and organizing on-campus events, handling multiple priorities/projects; greeting and directing students and visitors; maintaining a database of prospective students; assisting with student recruitment processes by responding via direct mail, e-mail, telephoning and arranging campus visits; informing prospective students of admission requirements; assisting with office publications; handling bulk mailings; maintaining office files; monitoring student workers; ordering office supplies; scheduling appointments for students with faculty, as needed; and conducting campus tours.

Selection Criteria: Requires an associate’s degree related to office administration and at least two years of related work experience. Must have knowledge and experience in the use of personal computers and application software (word processing, spreadsheets, database management). Experience with Microsoft Access software preferred. Requires excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to deal effectively and interact positively with a variety of people. Prefer someone with experience in a university environment.

Position: Access Services Associate-Evening

Position Description: The purpose of the position of Evening Access Services Associate is assisting the Access Services Librarian in the day-to-day operation of the circulation and interlibrary loan units and to provide circulation supervision during evening and weekend hours. This position has flexible hours to meet the schedule of the library during the regular school session as well as summer session, breaks, and holidays. Specific responsibilities include:

Selection Criteria: Requires an associate’s degree. (Significant experience directly related to the position may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.) Supervisory experience is preferred. Must be a competent user of personal computers. Requires excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must demonstrate the ability to deal effectively and interact positively with various types of people. Must be able to operate standard office equipment (copier, telephone, fax, etc.)

Position: Custodian, Dome

Salary: Minimum Annual Salary: $27,040 (based on $13.00 per hour) plus benefits

Position Description: This position will be responsible for preparing and maintaining Minot State University Athletic Facilities for university related and public events. Duties include custodial services, general building maintenance, the setup and teardown of tables, chairs, athletic equipment, other associated equipment, and other assigned task. Duties also include the preparation and maintaining the athletic fields and the exteriors areas of the athletic facilities (building maintenance, mowing, shoveling snow, disposing of waste, etc.) Shifts are 6:00am - 2:30pm and 2:30pm - 11:00pm with adjustment in response to the schedule of the facilities events.

Selection Criteria: Requires the equivalent of successful completion of high school and one year of custodial/facility maintenance experience including tasks such as landscaping and grounds maintenance; or three years of custodial or facility maintenance experience. Must have the ability to perform semiskilled maintenance and repair work. Knowledge of the practice/procedures used in facility maintenance is required. Must be physically able to perform a variety of manual tasks and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with the general public. A criminal history background check must be satisfied prior to employment.
