Minot State University’s Healthy Communities International, is pleased to share the news that after providing more than 18 months of technical assistance to the community of Linton, Linton now has a comprehensive local law in place to protect its citizens from second-hand smoke. HCI also provided assistance to Cavalier and Lisbon.  Thus HCI assisted with all of the local smoke-free policies passed at a local level in 2012 within North Dakota. Seven other North Dakota communities passed comprehensive smoke-free local ordinances in previous years.
