Spring Practice Preview 2006

The preparation for the 2006 season began in January with the winter strength phase of the football program that features a group of 18 determined seniors working very hard at making a run at the DAC Conference title. All of the players have gone to the weight room each day with the disappointment from the 2005 season as motivation for the 2006 season on their minds.

The spring phase of the program includes 10 practices, which began on Sunday evening April 9th, with 72 determined young men, and will conclude the last week of April. 

The Beavers return 31 players with 2005 playing experience.   18 return on offense, 12 return for the defense, along with an experienced kicker and punter for special teams.  

The offensive side of the ball will be dominated with upper classmen; 10 of the 17 returning players will be seniors, 4 will be juniors and 3 will be sophomores.  

The Defense will be anchored by 7 Seniors, 2 Juniors, and 3 Sophomores returning next year.   The special teams return the kicker and punter.  

There are also 27 eager awaiting Red-Shirt Freshmen along with the 06 recruiting class who are excited about the chance of making an impact in the 2006 season.
