Patterson
named offensive line coach at NCAA II St. Cloud State.
Former MSU offensive coordinator, Doug Patterson was named the
new offensive line coach at St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud,
MN today January 31st.
As the offensive coordinator at Minot State, coach Patterson was
in charge of a offense that set a DAC-10 conference record, 463.73
yards per game of total offense, during the 2002 season. The
Beavers finished with a 8-1 regular season conference championship
an NAIA National Playoff berth in 2002.
In his six seasons at MSU there were 12 All-Americans, 78 All-Conference
and 18 Academic All-Americans.
Coach Patterson stated, 'he appreciated having the opportunity
to coach at his alma mater, and was proud to have had the chance
to be part of MSU athletics.'
He returns to the Huskie program where he was the tight ends and
offensive line coach before being hired as MSU'S offensive coordinator
in January of 2000.
