Facilities
MSU Dome
This facility is considered to be one of the premier facilities in the upper
midwest. It has enough room to conduct a full practice, including kicking
and punting, providing the team the ability to practice game situations if
the weather outside is not cooperating.
The Dome is the largest arena in
the DAC Conference and the 3rd largest in the Tri-State (MN, ND, SD) area.
The Dome also contains: classrooms, offices, three full-length basketball
courts; a 1/10 mile eight lane track; four racquetball courts; a wrestling
room, locker rooms and concession stands. The Dome hosts many community and
regional events, including sports tournaments, conventions and concerts.
The Dome Facts: Capacity - 10,000; Floor Space - 152,967
sq. ft.; Cost - $6.2 million; Construction began in 1979 and was completed
in 1981; Renovations made in 1997 - $600,000; New wood floor installed - $160,000.
