Rowe - Defensive Coordinator, Defensive Backs
Coach Rowe begins his second season as the defensive coordinator
/ defensive backs coach at Minot State . Last fall he helped
guide the Beaver defense into the DAC record book by establishing
the current DAC record for team interceptions in a season, 24 in
10 games, for a 2.4 average per game, as well as mentoring 1 st
Team All-DAC defensive back, Nicholas Marshall who currently holds
the individual interception DAC record, 9 in a single season.
Rowe was the St. Cloud State University defensive backs coach for
the 05, 06 season. Before that, he worked for one year at
Drayton (ND) H.S. where he was the school's varsity football coach
and basketball coach, and taught elementary school. During
the 2002-04 season, he was an assistant head football coach and
JV coach at Napoleon (ND) H.S. A 2002 graduate of Valley City
State , Rowe earned a degree in elementary education and P.E.
He was a three-year starter and two-time All-Conference pick for
the Valley City squad at free safety. In addition, he was
a DAC 10 All-Academic team member. Mike also has a daughter
Avery.
