Awards Program
Application deadline for the Awards Program is June 1.
- Awards Program recipients may be eligible for other scholarships and/or grants.
- The total amount received from the Awards Program may not exceed the actual tuition charged to attend Minot State University.
- Collaborative courses do not count toward the 12 credit minimum.
- Eligibility for Awards will be reviewed at the end of each term.
- Awards are subject to change by institutional or state board policy and availability of funds.

Great Plains Award (replaces the Academic Excellence Award)

*Undergraduate new freshmen with a 3.50 GPA or above and 23-36 composite ACT score or 1070-1600 combined SAT score may qualify. Applicants must be a resident of the Great Plains (Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming) or Minnesota. Application deadline is February 15.

Diversity Award
|
*Undergraduate new freshmen and first-time transfer students. Based on ethnic origin or economic hardship. Must have a high school GPA or transfer GPA of 2.25. Recipients must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits per semester. The Award applies only to the tuition charged for the on-campus and off-campus face-to-face credits. Students who are awarded the Diversity Waiver are not eligible for the Global Award. Application deadline is June 1. |
Award varies from 10% to 50% tuition discount per academic year.

Provincial Award
|
*Undergraduate new freshmen and first-time transfer students from Canadian provinces other than Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Must have a high school GPA or transfer GPA of 2.0.
Recipients must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits per semester regardless of the method of course delivery. The Award applies only to the tuition charged for the on-campus and off-campus face-to-face credits. Application deadline is June 1. |
Award of 45% tuition discount per academic year. |

Global Award
|
*Undergraduate new freshmen and first-time transfer students from countries other than Canada.
Must have a high school GPA or transfer GPA of 2.0. Recipients must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits per semester regardless of the method of course delivery. The Award applies only to the tuition charged for the on-campus and off-campus face-to-face credits. Students who are awarded the Global Award are not eligible for the Diversity Award. Application deadline is June 1. |

National Award
