Late night at MSU
The typical Minot State University student is no longer a fresh-out-of-high-school 18 to 22 year old; and the term "older than average" doesn't really apply either. With a high demand for workers in North Dakota, it is becoming more common for students to work before going to university.
To meet these demands, the Office of Enrollment Services is extending its hours on Tuesdays to 6 p.m. Enrollment services is also striving to be more open by responding to prospective students through the MSU phone line and electronically through email@example.com.
"Of the 3,550 plus students at MSU, 25 percent are 25 years of age or older," said Kevin Harmon, assistant vice president for enrollment management. "As our student population changes, so do their needs and demands. To remain attractive, MSU must be flexible."
