North Dakota is abundant in energy. Oil, wind, coal, and other energy sources are in the heart of the action. And you can be too!
In this total energy experience you will learn from experts and professionals working in the energy industry.
This high school level experience will provide insight into future careers in management, finance, engineering, and other key careers in the energy industry.
You’ll enjoy this 4-1/2 day experience as Minot State University plays host. Living and learning on campus and at various field sites in western North Dakota will surely provide a great summer experience.
Seminar Instructor
Dr. Frank Moseley brings a wealth of experience from the energy profession to the classroom. He has 25 years of experience in the oil fields; he holds a doctorate degree in mineral economics with a major in business strategy and finance. Moseley was the founder of a private international oil service company. He will share his multi-national energy experiences with the student.
Typical Daily Schedule [Tentative schedule]
Morning sessions begin at 9 a.m. with experts from the most significant players in the energy field.
Afternoons will be on the road for hands-on trips to the oil field, wind turbines and other energy sites.
Entertainment will follow your evening meals. Sidney Foss, activities coordinator, has planned activities including bowling, movies in the new Beaver Dam, sand volleyball, frisbee and workouts (only if you’re in the mood) the in fitness center.
What you should know!
Where will I stay?
All students are encouraged to stay in our new Crane Hall coed residence hall. Although not required, if you don’t stay on campus, you may miss out on a worthwhile experience.
Where will I eat?
All meals are a part of your fee and will be offered on campus or on the road.
What does it cost?
$100 covers all seminar fees, your residence hall room, meals, t-shirt/cap, and entertainment - it’s an unbelievable value!
