Employment Opportunities at the Disability Service Office
Notetakers provide an essential service to students who have difficulty taking notes for themselves. Notetakers must attend each class; if class(es) will be missed, the notetaker is responsible for finding a replacement and/or notifying the Disability Service Office (DSO) so that other arrangements can be made. Notetakers agree to scan electronically their notes in a timely manner and email the notes to the recipient. A high speed scanner is available at the DSO office or the notetaker can use their personal scanner. If you would like to fill out an application to be a notetaker, please visit our office in the lower level of Lura Manor - South Entrance. Elevator access available at the northwest door.
Graduate assistants are an integral part of the daily operation of the DSO. The majority of time will be spent assisting with providing testing accommodations for students with disabilities. Other duties may include special projects and general clerical duties. Graduate students from a human service profession (e.g., school of psychology, special education, communication disorders, special and regular education) are encouraged to apply. If you are interested, please contact Evelyn Klimpel, Coordinator of Disability Services at firstname.lastname@example.org or (701) 858-3371, or visit our office in the lower level of Lura Manor - South Entrance. Elevator access available at the northwest door.
