When you think about MSU, what do you value most? Minot State University has been more than just a school to us, it’s been our second home for our undergraduate career. The good and even the not so good moments have taught us all something and have transformed each of us into the people we were born to be. We can only imagine how MSU has impacted you and how you have impacted others through your work here.

Right now our senior class has an opportunity that others before us haven’t, and that’s to leave Minot State University a better place than when we came in. We have decided to begin a senior giving campaign in hopes that its legacy will continue and give every outgoing senior at Minot State University an opportunity to give back. Together we all can achieve anything we set our minds and our hearts to and we will be setting the example for future years, so let’s all come together to make this year one to remember. Please consider a gift of $20.09 to this year’s Winged Victory campaign. During our academic year, the Winged Victory statue that was located in Model Hall was accidentally destroyed and is no longer intact. It was a beautiful part of the campus that was given to MSU by the Class of 1923, a part that we feel needs to be replaced. Giving back to MSU for the restoration of Winged Victory would be a great way to leave our legacy as the Class of 2009.

As graduating seniors, we know the financial strain that we all face. So we want to stress that your participation is more important than the size of your gift. You will become part of a tradition that shows the Class of 2009 values the education that MSU has provided, has school spirit and pride, and believes in giving back and helping future students.

Be on the lookout for more information throughout the month of April. Please join us as we celebrate our senior year at the Senior Send-Off event on April 22 in conjunction with Student Government Association and the MSU Alumni Association.
