Criminal Justice Club

The purpose of the club is promote educational and social activities which enhance our students' experiences at Minot State University. Past activities have included educational activities such as tours of adult and youth correctional facilities, observing oral arguments before the state Supreme Court, and guest speakers who are professionals in the field. Some past social events have included participating in the homecoming parade, sledding, bowling, movies, and picnics. For the past several years, the club has contracted with the state highway patrol to pick up trash along the highway. This year, the club officers have decided to do something more criminal justice oriented and are currently looking into volunteering at the domestic violence crisis center. To fund these activities and scholarships, the club sells Homecoming raffle tickets, and also provide security for the Hostfest and Native American Pow Wow at MSU.
