Greetings from the MSU Dance Team!

   It's hard to believe but the fall sememster is here.  That means it's time to start thinking about tryouts for the MSU Dance team.  Tryouts for the 2010-2011 Dance Team will be held Sept.2, 2010.  Tryouts will begin promptly at 9 p.m. at Studio X...A New Generation of Dance in downtown Minot.  Tryouts will consist of a lyrical combo and a sideline pom routine.  To help all prospective dancers prepare for tryouts we will hold tryout practices Aug. 30, 31 and Sept. 1.  All practices will be held at 9 p.m. at Studio X.

The Minot State Dance team performs at all MSU Men's basketball games on the sidelines and performs halftime routines for both the men's and women's teams.  The dance team also participates in the MSU Homecoming Festivities including the parade, bonfire, and football game.   

The dance team also travels to all football & basketball post-season games.  In addition to these school function events, the dance team also participates in the NDADD State Dance Team Championships in the college division.

All dance team members are required to attend all practices which are held three times a week.  Members are also required to take a jazz technique class at any local studio of there choice.

Minot State University’s Cheer Team fires up fans at State Class B Boys Tourney!

Minot State University cheerleaders stepped in Thursday, March 19 through Saturday, March 21, to support thousands of fans and their teams that did not have a cheerleading squad for their favorite teams.  The Cheer Team lead each school’s favorite cheer and performed acrobatic stunts and elite gymnastics moves.  Thanks to the Cheer Team for their efforts!

The North Dakota Sate Dance Team competition was held January 30th & 31st at the dome.
