Activity #2:Giving Back to a Community Beyond
   MSU Through Service

MSU Faculty, Staff, and Students:

Student Engagement at MSU
The MSU Faculty Senate voted (5/5/11) to support the recommendation of the Ad Hoc Committee on First-Year Experience (FYE) and Engagement to require every MSU graduate to complete three engagement experiences.  We are in the process of phasing in this requirement.  The three experiences are:

#1.  Engagement with the university community (to be completed within an FYE learning community)
#2.  Service experience that gives back to a community beyond MSU
#3.  Capstone experience shared with a broader professional community (handled by each major program)

Reporting Student Engagement Experience #2
If you have supervised a student engagement experience that meets the requirements for experience #2, it would be very helpful if you would report this information to the CETL office.  To do so, please complete and submit the reporting form as soon as possible after the experience has concluded.

Follow the link to download the reporting form for student engagement activities that fall within category #2.
