International Baccalaureate (IB)

International Baccalaureate (IB) is an international program challenging high school students to go beyond fact retention and increase their critical thinking skills.  The IB curriculum helps students develop their research and independent-learning skills through creative problem solving in three core subjects in conjunction with their required school course load.  Student master is assessed through examination at the end of the course.  Successful completion of an IB program allows students to begin college in higher-level courses. 

The following IB examinations are accepted by Minot State University for lower division, satisfactory college credit assuming the minimum required score has been obtained:
