Digital Storytelling

Digital Storytelling is a hands-on course that will teach you how to create your own digital stories, from providing story ideas and writing tips to tutorials on incorporating images, recording audio, adding music, and compiling a concise video, culminating in a digital publication to share with others.

We live in a digital age where many people share their lives using social media such as Facebook, email, Flickr, Twitter, or Instagram. Digital Storytelling takes this sharing to a deeper level and helps us to explore our family and personal histories. Digital Storytelling allows us to express and share these stories in a visual and meaningful way. Classes will be held for 4 weeks starting on February 26th to March 26th (no class on March 12th) from 5:30p.m. – 8:30p.m. in Memorial Hall 228. Registration is limited to the first 10 participants. This workshop is an initiative of the Great Plains Center for Community Research and Service.
