Our fitness camp for kids is all about having fun while providing a variety of activities for kids of all fitness levels to participate in.  Kids will enjoy being active and playing games while they rotate through various exercise stations that will include yoga, calisthenics, agility, and much more.

Exploring Engineering

Discover the world of civil engineering!  Through hands-on activities, experiments, and conversation, students will learn what civil engineers do in areas such as water resources, structures, transportation, and more.  Additional emphasis will be placed on the importance of math, science, and technology, as well as brainstorming ideas, learning from mistakes, and sharing solutions.

Exploring Robotics

Have you ever wanted to create the smartest, strongest and most advanced LEGO® robot ever?  If your answer is yes, then attend the Exploring Robotics Camp.  Using a Robotics Invention Kit and a computer, you will design and program real robots that move and act the way you want. By programming your 32-bit microprocessor, 3 Interactive Servo motors, sound sensor, ultrasonic visual sensor, touch sensor, and light sensor, your robot will be able to move around obstacles, duck into dark corners, and do whatever creative movements you program. The possibilities are endless!!

This camp introduces kids to the exciting world of American Sign Language (ASL).  Through the use of songs, games, and other activities, students will learn how to sign the alphabet, fingerspell words, and even learn some basic sign vocabulary and conversational structures unique to this language.

Scrappin’ 101

Students will come to class with 12-24 photos and leave with a scrapbook completed with stickers, decorative paper, and journaling.  They will learn the skills of how to take better photos, how to crop photos, and how to plan their album.  Most importantly they will learn how to journal their memories.  Camp fee includes scrapbook kit.

Minecraft Mania

Come join us in Minecraft!  Minecraft is a 3D world adventure/building game that you can play by yourself or in multiplayer mode.  Players gather resources to survive the monsters that come out at night, and to build homes and creations.  Come learn how to design whatever your imagine in a game by adding or removing blocks, forming really cool structures, and then play it by navigating your character through the randomly-generated 3D world.  No experience is necessary to learn to play this very popular game.  Students will need to purchase a Minecraft license, if they don’t already have one.

The Superhero in You!

This camp will emphasize superheroes of popular culture.  Students will read superhero stories, write their own superhero tales and create their own original superhero based on their super powers.

Poetry Nature Walk

This is a nature walk poetry camp.  Students will write poetry inspired by nature.  This course will focus on the nature of poetry and poetry of nature.

Weave It, Wear It, Create It

In this camp, we’ll explore different ways to create art with fabric.  Students will weave a rug using a hula hoop, make a fabric bowl with the help of a balloon, and learn the ancient art of batik (minus the hot wax J).  Students will leave camp with 3 complete projects.

Going Green

Kids will learn about the 3 R’s, various ecosystems, and how to be more ‘green’ in a fun, educational way.  They can learn how the balance is kept in nature and even in the ocean!  There will be activities, nature walks, and class time to learn to about the earth we all live in and how to better maintain it.

Spend time in an actual news studio and learn what goes into producing and carrying out a live production.  Be ready to take your spot in the studio.  On the final day of camp, we will record a newscast that the campers will be able to share with family and friends.

Come join us for a cupcake and cookie extravaganza!  Students will learn the basics of frosting and decorating cookies and cupcakes.  This will include frosting, piping work, and mixing colors.  The afternoon group will also work with fondant.  The campers will have lots of edible artwork to bring home!

This informative camp will teach you how to properly do First Aid, CPR, and babysitting, and the roles and responsibilities of being a good babysitter.  A certificate of completion will be issued for successfully completing the three days.  Hands-on teaching and role-playing will be used throughout the camp.
