Description: This certificate program is designed to meet the national demand for paraprofessional training of personnel who support individuals with disabilities.
Notes: Certificate programs consist of at least 15 semester hours of coursework. Completion of our certificate program will be annotated on your academic transcript.

Required SPED 111: Health Care in I/DD I SPED 112: Health Care in I/DD II SPED 120: Intro to Positive Behavior Supports SPED 130: Expanding Leisure Options SPED 140: Human Development SPED 221: Promoting Personal Outcome SPED 223: I/DD and Mental Health Disorders SPED 225: Assisting People with TBI SPED 250: Developing Communicative Interactions SPED 255: Aging and I/DD SPED 296: Supervised Field Experience in I/DD Notes: In addition to SPED 101, student must pass classes in this group to accumulate 12 credits; for a total of at least 15 credits
