The Western Plains Children's Choirs will perform their Christmas Concert Dec. 9 in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall at 7 p.m. The program, "Sounds of the Season," will include the Western Plains Youth Ensemble directed by Laurel Livingston and accompanied by Jasmine Massingill, the Western Plains Children's Choir directed by Rebecca Petrik and accompanied by Laurie Verbitsky and the Western Plains Junior Choir directed by Petrik and accompanied by Elisabeth Derby. Jonathan Clark will direct one number with the WPCC and Erin Neumann will play the descant for the final mass choir song. Student mentors Nina Coaster and Rae Mae Owens will support the student singers. The concert is free and open to the public, and parking is unrestricted on Sunday.
