Tracey has six years of teaching experience at both the graduate and undergraduate level. She is committed to supporting students’ academic endeavors demonstrated by serving as a committee member for Master’s students’ theses and as a mentor. She is also committed to her personal academic endeavors by completing her doctoral degree in management.  Her dissertation is a quantitative correlational analysis of leadership styles and ethics positions of nonprofit leaders. Tracey has served in key leadership positions on several nonprofit boards and has an interest in the ethical leadership of organizations both for profit and nonprofit.

In addition to teaching Tracey has over 15 years of practical experience in Accounting, Finance and Budgeting in the private and government sectors. Having spent 10 years in Accounting and Budgeting with the U.S. Department of Defense Tracey became an expert in government financial management practices earning the designation of a Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM).

She is an active member of the Minot community. Her professional memberships include the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC), the Society of Human Resource Management and the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics.
