COLLEGE OF BUSINESS:
- Dr. JoAnn Linrud was a FBLA Performance Events judge for the FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America, State Leadership Conference and an Award Presenter for the conference that was held at the Minot Fairground March 24-26, 2013.
ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE DEPARTMENT:
- Dr. Frank Moseley attended the Energy Trading fundamentals seminar in Houston, Texas March 11-13, 2013.
BUSINESS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT:
- Dr. Tom Seymour was Chair for a comprehensive Evaluation for the Higher Learning Commission to the University of Akron, in Akron, Ohio March 4-6, 2013.
- March 7, 2013 Dr. Tom Seymour reviewed the Wayne College of Orville, Ohio for the Higher Learning Commission to the University of Akron.
- Dr. Deanna Klein, Dr. Kristi Berg, Jan Repnow, Julianne Eklund, and Sharon Reynolds attended the Cengage Professional Development Conference March 12-15, 2013 in San Diego, California.
- Dr. Willoughby participated in the Discover MSU Student Recruitment Event in Grand Forks and Fargo, North Dakota on March 20 and March 21.
- Jan Repnow was the Written Test Coordinator for the FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America, State Leadership Conference held at the Minot Fairground March 24-26, 2013. The test coordinator position involves 1600 written tests given in 4 sections with 400 students in each section. Jan also corrected the tests and coordinated 15 helpers from area high schools.
- Julianne Eklund, Dr. Linda Cresap , Dr. Tom Seymour, Sharon Reynolds and Jan Repnow were FBLA Performance Events judges for the FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America, State Leadership Conference held at the Minot Fairground March 24-26, 2013.
- Dr. Lori Willoughby was an Award Presenter for the FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America, State Leadership Conference held at the Minot Fairground March 24-26, 2013.
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT:
- Dr. Gary Ross participated in the Discover MSU Student Recruitment Event in Grand Forks and Fargo, North Dakota on March 20 and March 21.
- Dr. Gary Ross represented MSU and the College of Business at a booth for the FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America, State Leadership Conference held at the Minot Fairground March 24-26, 2013. He was also an Award Presenter for the conference.
SEVERSON ENTREPRENEURSHIP ACADEMY:
- Chuck Barney, SEA Director, hosted an Innovate ND Boot Camp in the College of Business Slaaten Learning Center on March 9, 2013. The focus of the boot camp was “Build Your Venture’s Value: How to Get More Out of a Business Plan”. Dr. Jeff Stamp, UND Entrepreneur-in-Residence facilitated the boot camp series.

- Patti Fedje attended the Annual Academic Chairpersons Conference in San Antonio, Texas February 5-8, 2013.
- Dean Frantsvog attended the 2013 Mustang International Academic Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada February 21-23, 2013 to present a paper, “Hindsight 10-40, the Top 10 Legal and Accounting Mistakes Made by New Small Business Owners and How to Avoid Them"
- Dr. Frank Moseley attended a Midstream Seminar in Houston, Texas on February 25, 2013.
- Jerry Stai provided an in-service on Investment Management to the Sisters of St. Francis in Denver, Colorado February 15-18, 2013.
