The CoB announces a new program to build your personal and professional skills and capabilites, beyond the classroom, to give you a competitive edge in the career marketplace.

APEX is for the highly motivated student who
- believes she/he has untapped potential
- wants to choose the best possible career fit
- wants to explore and strengthen her/his own talents and capabilities
- wants to develop personal confidence, or
- wants to be job-ready on the first day.
How does APEX work?

In Fall Semester 2010, you will
- apply and be selected for the program,
- meet with a faculty mentor,
- complete assessments about your skills, talents, and capabilities,
- select and interact with a personal business mentor,
- with guidance from a faculty mentor and a business mentor, set goals for your own personal development,
- attend informative sessions on the most important business topics for success today taught by business experts,
- attend "Conversations with..." business experts to learn the keys to their success
- participate in a Ropes course, and
- utilize your team skills to complete a campus- or community-related project with your APEX team.
- attend additional sessions and "Conversations with..."
- meet with your faculty and personal business mentors,
- actively practice and build professional skills,
- participate in another community service project,
- reflect on and document your own personal development,
- and attend the year-end banquet.
What will APEX cost me?
- In dollars, NOTHING!
- Time to take several assessments, attend about 8 sessions, meet with your business mentor and faculty mentor, conduct a simple team project, and reflect on and document your progress, all for your own personal enrichment.

To apply for the APEX program, you
will need to complete the following:
