 Division of Social Science The Division of Social Science at Minot State University encompasses the disciplines of economics, history, philosophy, sociology, and geography. The departments of history, economics, social science education andthe sociology department each maintain extensive pages describing their programs, course materials and offerings. For students who wish to get more involved with a particular discipline, there are a number of opportunities to extend knowledge obtained in the classroom, including clubs, internships, and research.
