The Beta Theta Sorority, Sigma Delta Sorority and Mu Sigma Tau Fraternity of Minot State University sponsored a two-day blood drive Jan. 21 and Jan. 24 in the Group X Fitness Room (Student Wellness Center, first floor). It was a fun and convenient way to donate blood, get blood pressure, temperature, pulse, hematocrit and cholesterol checked and possibly save someone's life, all in less than an hour. On the 21st, we collected 25 units of blood and on the 24th, we collected 16 units. It was a great turn out.
Project Inspiration: The American Red Cross blood supply was low because of the holidays and the extremely cold weather. So, this is the first blood drive that all the MSU Greek Life groups joined forces on; making sure it was a big hit. We all believe it is important to give back to the community and what better way to give back than by also saving lives.
